Programs

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Eta Beta Zeta Chapter holds various programs throughout the year. Below are a few of the annual programs that we host or cosponsor.

Bull City Blue & White Weekend

The Bull City Blue and White Weekend is a joyous occasion where Zetas and Sigmas fellowship, laugh, and celebrate the bond that we share. We cosponsor this weekend with The Durham Alumni Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.

Finer Womanhood Breakfast

The chapter’s Finer Womanhood Breakfast is a signature celebration held during Finer Womanhood month, the last week of February through the entire month of March. The Finer Womanhood celebration is a Sorority hallmark which began in 1923. Unique to Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Finer Womanhood celebrations around the globe emphasize the standards, morals, customs, and attributes of fine young ladies. During Finer Womanhood month, chapters have programs that encourage rededication to sorority ideals, increase community consciousness, and empower women.

Mother’s Day Scholarship Luncheon and Dove Award

The Mother’s Day Scholarship Luncheon and Dove Award Program is a luncheon scheduled every May. It is our signature program which provides everyone an opportunity to recognize anyone that has stamped a positive imprint in their life by honor or in memory. Recognition may be for mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, cousins, teachers, godmothers, mentors, first lady, supervisor, best friend, etc. It is a wonderful way to say thank you to show your appreciation for their positive impact on your life.

The Dove Award is our thank you to a member of the community for their extraordinary commitment in making a difference in the community through encouraging, inspiring, motivating and taking positive action.

In addition, we award our Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Eta Beta Zeta Scholarship to outstanding high school seniors who are planning to progress academically. The individuals are selected based upon the application criteria.

Triangle Area Founders’ Day Celebration

Triangle Area Founders’ Day Celebration is a program we cosponsor with all the Triangle area undergraduate and graduate Zeta chapters. During the program we celebrate our founders, history and achievements, get to know local and visiting Sorors, and share a meal together.
